 NIPL Smart Street Lighting solution transforms conventional streetlights into intelligent, energy efficient and remotely managed objects on real-time basis; providing energy savings, and thereby reducing the Global Warming. Smart Street Lighting will serve as a foundation for the Smart Cities planned in India.

 The Internet enabled street lights allow intelligent operation while reducing manual intervention thereby making zero manual errors while reducing the energy and low maintenance costs. This solution allows the management to take right decisions based on the data collected over a period of time. By deploying future proof solution, NIPL provides seamless integration with any other open interface devices.

Any type of street light can be easily managed remotely via internet from a remote place by installing a Wireless Controller on an existing light casing. This controller can be powered from the same source as light. Each Street light can be individually controlled / managed and can be powered on/off. These devices can be retrofitted into existing street light fixtures. All the street lights can form a wireless mesh network and can get aggregated to one Gateway device. They can be connected to intranet / internet at any point by using NIPL smart Wi-Fi clients / 3G clients deployed in Gateway device. The Gateway supports the uplink of GSM/GPRS/Wi-Fi/LAN interfaces to connect them to remote servers through telecom network
